The NGO Partnership System (NGO-PS) is a platform that provides space for interface between VOs/NGOs and key Government Ministries / Departments / Government Bodies, to start with. Later it is proposed to cover all Central Ministries / Departments / Government Bodies.
The participating Ministries/Departments in the first phase are M/o Culture, M/o Health & Family Welfare, M/o Social Justice & Empowerment, M/o Tribal Affairs, M/o Wome & Child Development, D/o Higher Education, D/o School Education & Literacy and CAPART.
This is a free facility offered by the Planning Commission in association with National Informatics Centre to bring about greater partnership between government & voluntary sector and foster better transparency, efficiency and accountability.
The NGO-PS provides information about all signed up VOs / NGOs, information about schemes of the participating Government Ministries / Departments / Government Bodies open for partnership and funding with the voluntary sector. It will also have the facility to apply for NGO grants online, upload all common documents (like Registration Certificate, Annual Reports, Annual Audited Statements etc) required by government Ministries / Departments / Government Bodies as well as track the processing of your application until the grant is sanctioned / rejected.
The NGO Partnership System (NGO-PS) started out as an initiative of the Prime Ministerís Office, to create and promote a healthy partnership between VOs/NGOs and the Government of India. The Planning Commission is coordinating and managing the portal, since July 2009.
This module has been developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC), the premier ICT Organisation of the Government of India under the aegis of Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India.
