This is a central sector scheme. It is implemented through NGOs. Grant-in-aid up to 90 percent of the project cost as prescribed in the scheme is funded to the NGOs by the Ministry and for the projects in North East Region, Sikkim and J&K it is upto 95 percent of the project cost. |

-Innovative Interventions to Strengthen Community Based Programmes,
-Technical Exchange and Man Power Development Programmes,
-Surveys, Studies, Evaluation and Research on the subjects covered under the Scheme,

Eligibility Criteria |
: |
A Society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860(XXI of 1860) or any relevant Act of the State Govt-UT administration or under anystate law relating to registration of literary, scientific and charitable societies,or a public trust registered under any law for the time being in force, or acompany established under section 25 of the companys act 1958,or an organisation fully funded or managed by Govt or a local body, or an Organisation or Institution which may be approved by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. |

How to avail |
: |
The organsiations desirous of financial support should submit their proposals to the concenred State Govt. The proposals forwarded by the State Govt along with recommendations of the State level Multi Disciplinary Grant-in-Aid committee are considered in the Ministry and grant is sanctioned subject to fulfilment of norms and conditions of the scheme and availability of fund under the scheme. |
